The Executive Committee performs the tasks established by the Assembly and the Management Committee and duties assigned by the Management Committee.
It helps the President perform both his/her role (as defined in the articles of the Confederation) and fulfil the decisions of the Assembly and the Management Committee.
It ensures the coordination of the associates, by applying the confederation guidelines.
The President is appointed by the Assembly, even outside its members.
The President cannot hold any political office, included any parliamentary role within the European Community, the nation and regions.
Vice-presidents are appointed among the members of the Executive Committee.
The President and Vice-presidents must be associated with one of the Provincial Trade Unions for agriculturists. They remain in office for three years and cannot be appointed for more than two terms.
The President elect of Confagricoltura, Massimiliano Giansanti, is Roman, married, and forty-three years of age.
Agricultural entrepreneur, he is President of Agricola Giansanti srl and manager of Gruppo Aziende Agricole Di Muzio with farming enterprises in the Rome, Viterbo and Parma provinces. The companies have agro-industrial interests and are specialized in the production of cereals, milk and livestock products and agro-energy with the production of photovoltaic electric power. Parma also produces the cheese Parmigiano Reggiano, and Rome produces high quality milk for the Centrale del Latte.
He has been a member of Confagricoltura’s executive administration since 2011 and outgoing Vice-president, President of Confagricoltura Rome and Vice-President of Confagricoltura Lazio. Advisor of the board of Roman businesses and of the Board of Unicredit’s Territorio Centro.
He was a member of the board of directors of Azienda Romana Mercati, the special firm of Rome’s Chamber of Commerce, as managing director with regard to agricultural markets as well as livestock. In that capacity he realized, in particular, a study for the creation of a telematics scholarship for agricultural merchandise at the Commodities Exchange in Rome in addition to being in charge of the project related to the optimization and promotion relative to local products within the province of Rome.
A member of the Organisational Committee, introducing ‘Campagna Romana’, the association established by the C.C.I.A.A in Rome relative to the enhancement of Rome’s agro-industrial productions of which he subsequently became Managing Director.
Amongst other diverse positions held: Councillor of the Technical Scientific Committee of the department of Agricultural and Forestry policies; a member of the National Administration Board for mechanization, Vice- president of ANBI Lazio – the regional association which assembles redevelopment associations.
Furthermore, he held the position of Director of Banca Popolare of Rome and Banca of Nuova Terra.
Fifty-three years of age, agrarian graduate, one daughter. She runs a rice-growing farm, specializing in seed selection. She has held the position of President of ANGA Sardinia, and of Sardinia’s Italian Farmers Confederation, in addition to having been Councillor of Agriculture for the region of Sardinia.
Forty-three years of age, married, runs a dairy farm at Pegognaga, in the province of Mantova, for the production of Parmigiano Reggiano. President of the Italian Farmers’ Confederation in Mantova and Lombardy, he is also Councillor of Confidi Systema, the consortium syndicate relative to credit within the region of Lombardy, established through the synergy of the Italian Farmers’ Confederation, the Confederation of Italian Industry and Confederation of Artisans.
Fifty-four years of age, graduated in law, married, three children, proprietor of a fruit business at Corigliano Calabro (Cosenza), producing tangerines, oranges and peaches. He was President of the Italian Famers Associations of Cosenza and Calabria, and a member of the outgoing National Board. He is President of the Producers’ Organization COAB, which operates in the fruit and vegetable sector at Piana di Sibari, and President of CAF of the Italian Farmer’s Confederation.
Luca Brondelli di Brondello
Fifty-two years of age, married, two children, cultivates cereals and grapevines, and runs a holiday farm at Serralunga di Crea in Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria. He is President of Confagricoltura Alessandria and Enapra, the authority of Confagricoltura formation.
Giordano Emo Capodilista
Fifty-four years of age, graduated in Political Science, runs a farm dealing mainly with grape production in the province of Padova. He is President of Confagricoltura Padova, Vice-President of Confagricoltura Veneto and Counsellor of the Bacchiglione–Brenta consortium of land reclamation.
Fifty-four years of age, married, one son, runs a fruit and vegetable farm in the province of Ragusa. President of the National Federation of fruit and vegetable products, he has been President of Confagricoltura Ragusa, and President of Ragusa’s Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he is Councillor of the Chamber of Commerce in South East Sicily, and is on the Board of Directors of the company that manages Comiso airport.
Diana Theodoli Pallini
Sixty-four years of years of age, graduated in philosophy, married, with two children. Together with the family, she runs three farms in the Grosseto area, and one in the Rome area geared towards cereals and livestock (meat and milk, and cheese, complete with sales outlet), and a holiday farmhouse. She was President of the Italian Farmers’ Confederation Grosseto, and Vice-President of the Italian Farmers Confederation Tuscany, and a member of the past legislation’s committee. She is Cavaliere del lavoro.
Forty-nine years of age, with a degree in Economics and Business, runs a cereal, livestock and arboreal farm in Piacenza, in addition to a pig farm, with meat transformation. She is Vice-President of the Italian Farmers Confederation Piacenza, and President of the National Federation of Products of Pig Farming. She is Councillor of the Consortium of Processed Meats typical of the Piacenza area.
Fifty years of age, married, two children, runs a fruit and vegetable farm in Battipaglia (Salerno), specializing in ready-made salads sold under his personal logo. He is President of the Salerno and Campania Italian Farmer’s Confederation and member of Salerno’s Chamber of Commerce.
Fifty-three years of age, wine producer at Montefalco, in addition to having been a member of the previous board, he is President of the Italian Farmers’ Confederation Umbria, responsible for the first reconstruction of the system of territorial representation initiated by the Confederation through the mix of diverse provincial associations in a single Umbrian organization.
Fifty-two years of age, born in Canosa, Puglia, he is an active agricultural entrepreneur, particularly in olive production. He held numerous positions in the Italian Framers Association Puglia for many years. Currently, he is President of the Puglia Association, and outgoing President of the National Federation of olive production.
