Sala de' Rustici
Through the hall we reach a room with coffer ceilings adorned with golden rosettes and laurum crowns and volutes, figures and leaves and other decorations (XVI century). In the middle of the ceiling there is the Rustici’s coat of arms (in red, with a leopard head gripped by a winged talon, all in gold). As Gismonda della Valle married into de’ Rustici family, the two families became related. Gismonda’s son Quintilio resided in the palace between the death of the Cardinal and 1574, when the Palazzo returned to the della Valle’s.
