Albania: Seventh producer of Oranges in the EU
With a production of 10.800 tons on 300 hectares Albania, in 2018, ranked 7th on within the European market in regards to oranges then moving 1 position higher and leaving France behind.
Said classification emerges from the most recent report released by Eurostat, the European Union’s Office of Statistics.
Holding 1st place in the European classification is Spain with a production of approximately 3.6 million tons, followed by Turkey (1.9 million tons), Italy (1.6 million tons), Greece (913 thousand tons), Portugal (340 thousand tons), and Cyprus (20 thousand tons).
