Hungary: farm production on the increase

Based on assessments from KSH, the country’s central office of statistics, national farm production in 2018 registered an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous year.
In particular, the increase refers to the production of cereals (5%), animal feed (2.6%) and livestock (8.1%), while there was a decrease in industrial cultures (-3.7%) and in fruit (-11%).
The value of production in the farm sector, including services and secondary activities, increased by 4,5%.
The volume of intermediary consumption grew by 1.8% and the price index by 4.1%.
