Ukraine: Italy first supplier of wine, second of oil
During the first four months of 2018, the Ukraine saw an increase in wine imports, both from the world (+49%) and Italy (+70%).
Italy is the leading exporter of wines to the Ukraine with a 29% share of the market. The other leading suppliers are France (15%), Georgia (15%) and Spain (8%).
According to the latest available data, an increase of 15% in the average price of wine imported from Italy was registered.
Over the same period, the Ukraine also increased its imports of olive oil from both the world (+54%) and Italy (+85%).
Italy thus holds second place as exporter of olive oil to the Ukraine with a 25% share of the market. The other leading importers are Spain (43%), Greece (18%) and Poland (9%).
According to the latest available data there has also been an increase of 10% in the average price of olive oil imported from Italy.
